About Me
Hi, I'm Shaylin Skretting, I grew up on a farm in rural Southern Alberta, from when I was small I had passion for helping others. It started with bottle feeding orphan calves to becoming a Registered Nurse. My own birthing experience with my son sparked my interest in becoming a doula. I learned so much from my birth journey that I hope to help others receive calm, informed, and nurturing care during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum - no matter how far off the gravel road you live. Now providing services to rural communities in surrounding Lethbridge, Alberta area.
I currently am a certifying doula looking to provide doula services. I am a certified childbirth educator providing prenatal classes in rural communities. I also can provide support with lactation concerns.
I look forward to working with you!

A doula is a trained professional who provides physical, emotional, and informational support to individuals during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. Unlike a medical professional, a doula focuses on the holistic experience of childbirth, helping to empower parents and enhance their birth experience. They offer guidance, comfort measures, and resources to ensure that families feel supported and informed throughout the process.
